Evolving beyond community service projects

Community service is an amazing thing, and we celebrate organizations and projects that pursue those goals. JCI takes a different approach, leveraging the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals to build impact projects that address root challenges and build leadership along the way. With these projects, we look to Rebuild, Invest, Sustain, and Evolve (RISE) impact.

By going through this program, you will be able to...

Assess community needs and build a project that addresses those needs

Instead of doing trash clean up projects, can we identify what causes people to litter in the first place? We'll look for root causes of community issues and ideate solutions.

Develop influence and enlist others in projects you're passionate about

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to far, go together - we'll look at tactics and tools for building influence and support that accelerate the impact of our projects and initiatives.

Build a community of young leaders, community orgs and change makers

It's easy to feel helpless and isolated, especially with how divisive our society has become. In addition to the projects, our goal is to build a strong community of young leaders.
